Youssef Al Balushi, UNICEF Youth Advocate, participated in a roundtable organized by the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the United Nations (UN) at the UN headquarters in Geneva.

According to Amac News: This event was held on the sidelines of the 56th session of the Human Rights Council to support the ongoing discourse on the vital role of youth in achieving the goals of sustainable development and promoting human rights.
In this meeting, Al Balushi emphasized the importance of integrating youth in global decision-making processes. He emphasized the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to strengthen the role of youth in promoting sustainable development and protecting human rights.

The next summit in 2024, scheduled for September 22-23, aims to adopt a practical "Future Pact". This initiative seeks to strengthen global solidarity among current and future generations.
The primary goals of this summit include reaffirming commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals and the United Nations Charter and creating a comprehensive framework that addresses sustainable development and human rights issues. There will be a significant focus on the active participation of youth in achieving these goals.
