The German news agency (DPA) reported that the American space agency (NASA) announced that it will not send its rover to the moon.
According to Amac News: NASA said that the reason for canceling this mission is the high costs and the delay in the launch.
NASA said the project, called the Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover, or VIPER, would be halted after a "comprehensive internal review."
The space agency announced that the decision to review the project was made amid rising costs, possible future cost increases and a delay in the launch date.
The rover was originally supposed to launch in late 2023, but the launch had to be pushed back to later this year, according to NASA.
After another delay, NASA last predicted the launch would take place in September 2025.
