Local officials in Herat province say that a delegation from the Turkmenistan Railway Department has traveled to this province to talk about the Bandar Turghondi railway.

According to Amac News: The press office of the Herat province official has published a newsletter and said that the head of the Turkmenistan Railway Department arrived in Herat at the head of a six-member delegation and met and talked with Noor Ahmad Islamjar, the governor of Herat.
In the news release, Azad Atta Muradov, the head of Turkmenistan's railway department and his accompanying delegation, discussed with the governor of Herat about the expansion of trade relations between the two countries, the construction of the Herat-Turghondi railway, and the development of the Turghondi port railway.
The newsletter added that the governor of Herat suggested to the Turkmen delegation that the technical teams and experts of the two countries visit the Herat-Turghondi railway route.
Officials of the Turkmenistan Railway Department are traveling to Afghanistan while a delegation representing Afghanistan went to Turkmenistan and discussed with the Turkmen authorities about the development of roads and the expansion of trade relations between the two countries.
