Dubai Financial Market announced a 74% increase in net profit

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) By publishing its consolidated financial results for the period ending June 30, 2024, announced that the net profit before tax reached 195.4 million dirhams.


According to Amac News: Dubai Financial Market said that this figure represents a significant increase of 74% compared to the same period in 2023.
In the report of the financial results of this market, it is stated that in the first half of 2024, it witnessed an increase in business activities, higher transaction value and a wave of new investors.
In addition, DFM hosted the annual Capital Markets Summit, which attracted more than 1,000 global delegates.
DFM's total consolidated revenue increased by 40% to AED 305.7 million in the first half of 2024, up from AED 218.1 million in the same period in 2023.
Revenue includes 154 million dirhams from operating income and 151.7 million dirhams from investment returns and other income. For the same period, total expenses excluding taxes increased to 110.3 million dirhams compared to 106 million dirhams in the first half of 2023.
The first half of 2024, the Dubai Financial Market, saw a significant increase in trading activity at DFM, with the total number of transactions reaching 1.07 million, representing a 22% increase over the same period last year.
In addition, the total value of transactions increased by 4% to 48 billion dirhams. DFM General Index decreased by 0.73%.
In the first half of 2024, DFM attracted 72,583 new investors, 85% of whom are from foreign countries.
DFM hosted its annual roadshow in London this June in collaboration with HSBC's GCC Exchanges Conference. The event highlighted investment opportunities in Dubai's vibrant capital markets, featuring 14 leading issuers with a combined market capitalization of AED 326 billion.
DFM lists for its IPO in the first half of 2024 In March, Dubai parking operator Parkin rose more than 30 percent after its public offering.
The market value of companies admitted to the DFM list reached 679 billion dirhams in the first half of 2024.
