Officials in the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan say that during the past one year, this ministry has been able to implement more than 2 thousand projects in Afghanistan.
According to Amac News: Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Professional of the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan, said that in the past one year, the Ministry has renewed the license of 315 domestic institutions and 60 foreign institutions in addition to registering 159 domestic institutions and 14 new foreign institutions.
Nazari added that in the past one year, this ministry has implemented about 2,440 projects including humanitarian, emergency and semi-developmental aid through domestic and foreign non-governmental organizations, which has provided work for more than 200,000 people.
He stated that 2,477 non-governmental organizations operate in Afghanistan, of which 2,199 are domestic and 278 are foreign.
He said that in the last one year, he has granted customs exemptions amounting to 24 million dollars for 1,47 domestic and foreign institutions.
In this regard, Abdul Rahman Habib, the spokesman of the Ministry of Economy, said that the work flow of 379 development projects in the center and provinces of the country has been monitored and the status of 70 other development projects funded by India has been analyzed and evaluated.
