The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) published a report and announced that the May floods in Afghanistan have affected at least 83 thousand people.

According to Amac News: The Office of the Coordinator of Humanitarian Aid of the United Nations (OCHA) has said in its report that the rain has left destruction in several provinces of Afghanistan, especially in the west of the country.
Earlier, Ocha said in a report that 12.4 million people in Afghanistan are currently facing food insecurity.
The World Food Program (WFP) warned in its report on July 9 that by October of this year, 12.4 million people in Afghanistan will face a high level of food insecurity.
 This organization has said that despite the current challenges, Afghanistan is in relatively good condition in terms of food insecurity compared to the past, and despite this, 4 million people, including 3.2 million children under the age of 5, are facing severe malnutrition.
The report states that WFP needs $1.6 billion in 2024 to provide emergency food aid, nutrition and other urgent relief to the needy people of Afghanistan.
In this report, the World Food Program identified the cause of the food insecurity crisis as lasting economic instability in Afghanistan, climate changes such as the recent devastating floods and drought, and the return of hundreds of thousands of Afghans from Iran and Pakistan to Afghanistan.
