DXB has welcomed 44.9 million guests

Dubai International (DXB) has announced by publishing a report that it has increased its share in Dubai's economy by welcoming a record 44.9 million guests in the first six months of this year.


According to Amac News: In the report of Dubai International DXB, it is stated that this figure shows an increase of 8% of guests compared to the previous year.
Dubai attracted 9.31 million international visitors in the first half of 2024, reflecting its growing appeal as a global hub for talent, companies and investors.
These figures, recently released by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, are closely related to the growth of Dubai's GDP, which reached 115 billion dirhams in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 3.2 percent over the previous year.
In the first half of 2024, India remains DXB's top destination with 6.1 million passengers, while China's traffic surpassed 1 million passengers, representing 80% year-on-year growth and a 90% improvement over 2019 levels.
The top DXB destination countries after India are Saudi Arabia with 3.7 million visitors, UK with 2.9 million visitors and Pakistan with 2.3 million visitors.
DXB is connected to 269 destinations in 106 countries served by 101 international airlines, strengthening Dubai's position as a global business and logistics hub.
The total number of flights reached 216,000, which is a 7.2% increase compared to the first six months of last year.
The average number of guests per aircraft movement was 213 and the load factor remained stable at 77% compared to the first half of 2023. Direct traffic accounted for 56% of the total, which saw a slight increase, while transfer traffic was 44%.
Meanwhile, during the second quarter of 2024, the airport had 21.8 million guests, which is a 7.5% increase compared to the same period last year, and the total number of passengers has reached 107,000.
The real-time monitoring system used at DXB helps the airport predict queues at touchpoints and avoid queues at touchpoints, ensuring a smoother and more efficient journey for all guests.
During the first half, 98% of guests experienced a wait time of less than 10 minutes at departure passport control, and the same percentage waited less than 15 minutes at arrival passport control. 95% of guests waited less than three minutes at exit security screening.
