Officials of the Afghan Ministry of Migrants and Returnees Affairs say that in the past year, more than 780,000 internally displaced persons and returnees have received cash and food aid from national and international institutions.
According to Amac News: Mahmoud AlHaq Ahadi, head of planning and policy of the Ministry of Migrants and Returnees, says that in the past year, 10,000 imprisoned Afghan immigrants have been released from prisons in different countries with the efforts of the Afghan government.
Ahadi added that among these, 5,766 Afghan refugees have been released from the prisons of Pakistan and Turkey and 4,000 Afghan prisoners have returned to the country.
He stated that a total of 1 million 779 thousand 603 people have returned to Afghanistan from Iran, Pakistan and other countries in the past year.
The Director of Planning and Policy of the Ministry of Migrants and Returnees of Afghanistan also said that in the past year, a number of national and international institutions have helped 788 thousand and 800 internally returning migrants with cash and food.
According to Ahadi, in the past one year, 13 residential settlements have been prepared for the permanent settlement of immigrants and the necessary facilities have been considered for these people in different provinces.
This official of the Afghan Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees says that in order to solve the problems of immigrants, he has signed cooperation agreements with 93 partner institutions, 7 administrations and 14 educational institutions.
