UNICEF continues its cooperation in Afghanistan

Afghanistan's Ministry of Economy said that Tajudeen Oyewale, head of the UNICEF office in Kabul, emphasized on sustainable cooperation with Afghanistan in a meeting with Din Mohammad Hanif, acting head of the ministry.


According to Amac News: The Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan published a statement on X saying that the parties discussed the acceleration of the implementation of projects in this meeting.
The head of UNICEF said in this meeting that since the beginning of this year, this institution has provided services to about 18 million people in the health sector.
According to Oyewale, these services are provided by UNICEF through 240 health centers across the country.
The announcement quoted Oyewale and added that this institution was also able to provide drinking water to 400,000 families in Afghanistan with the cooperation of the Ministry of Rural Development.
According to the announcement, UNICEF has provided assistance to 250,000 children through health clinics in order to combat child malnutrition.
The announcement quoted the head of UNICEF and added that providing health services to more than 500,000 displaced people and building and repairing about 4,000 school buildings are among the other activities that this organization has carried out during the mentioned period.
Oyewale also noted that the UNICEF office has also provided cash assistance to about 13,000 people who were affected by natural disasters.
