Sharjah International Charity announced the payment of 84.3 million dirhams

Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced in a statement that it has spent 84.3 million dirhams on relief programs in the UAE in the first half of this year.


According to Amac News: In the announcement of Sharjah International Charity, it is stated that this payment includes 6.7 million dirhams for monthly donations, 31.2 million dirhams for seasonal programs and 39.6 million dirhams for one-time donations.
Abdullah bin Khadim, Executive Director of Sharjah International Charity, said that the one-time donations, totaling 39.6 million dirhams, include 15 million dirhams for medical assistance for 743 patients, especially those with life-threatening conditions such as viral hepatitis, cancer and failure. They have kidneys, they benefited.
He added that housing assistance worth 8.3 million dirhams has been provided to 906 beneficiaries.
The Executive Director of Sharjah International Charity has stated that educational assistance amounting to 4.8 million dirhams has been provided to support students from low-income families.
It covered tuition fees and provided tablets to more than 680 students. In addition, this association helped 1,100 people to be released from penal and educational centers by paying off their debts in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
Bin Khadim continued that the total amount of cash assistance provided to eligible recipients, including orphans, widows, divorcees and those who have lost their livelihoods, amounted to 6.7 million dirhams in the first half of the year.
This assistance is granted for a specified period, usually 6 months, and is renewable based on the family's circumstances, as determined by the Assistance Committee and social research reports.
The purpose of this monthly grant is to help families improve their living conditions and stability, enabling them to become self-reliant so that the association can support other approved cases.
Bin Khadim explained that the association provided a total of 31.2 million dirhams in seasonal aid in the first half of the year.
In the first half of this year, the association distributed meals to the needy, low-income earners and workers across the UAE as part of its ongoing charity project "Feed the Food".
The association has carried out several projects under its social partnership programs within the UAE, totaling 3.4 million dirhams.
