The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beijing announces the hosting of the first forum of the UAE-China Think Tank to be hosted by the Embassy in Beijing, the capital of China.


According to Amac News: In the announcement of the UAE Embassy, ​​it is stated that this forum was held from August 29 to 30, 2024 in Beijing, the capital of China, with the presence of more than 100 experts and intellectual leaders.
Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, the UAE Ambassador to China, emphasized during the opening of the ceremony that the bilateral relations between the UAE and China have seen significant progress in the economic, commercial, cultural, political and diplomatic fields.
This meeting was held with the theme "Together to build a common, sustainable and ambitious future" and during two days, the participants discussed various issues related to strengthening cooperation and partnership between the two nations.
This forum is a turning point in bilateral relations between the UAE and China and opens new horizons for cooperation and partnership.
The forum was aimed at aligning academic and research circles on mechanisms to strengthen comprehensive cooperation in areas of mutual interest, such as economic and trade exchanges, scientific research, culture and education.
The forum sought to create a platform for collaboration and dialogue between think tanks in the UAE and China, and explore opportunities for joint academic projects between top think tanks in both countries.
The UAE is China's largest non-oil trading partner in the Arab region, while China is the UAE's trading partner with a trade value of $82 billion in 2023.
The volume of trade between the UAE and China has increased about 800 times since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two sides. The volume of trade between the two countries will reach 200 billion dollars by 2030.
This forum consisted of four sessions. The first session was titled "Strengthening Regional and Global Peace through Multilateralism", while the second session focused on trade, logistics and economic improvement.
On the second day of this forum, a meeting was held on technology, new industrial revolution, education, culture and tourism. The fourth and final session was devoted to a brief final discussion.
