The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Abu Dhabi (IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi) was inaugurated in the presence of Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
According to Amac News: This institute is India's leading STEM educational and research institute, and IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi will cooperate with Khalifa University in research and academic programs, sharing of research facilities and laboratory spaces, and mobility of student and faculty exchanges.
The partnership of this institution with the Sorbonne University of Abu Dhabi facilitates participation in joint research projects, exchange of students at the master's level and the organization of seminars and scientific meetings.
Mohammad Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence will participate in joint research through the allocation of seed project grants by both institutions, collaboration in joint training and short training programs, and hosting of internship programs.
The partnership with Zayed University will host exchange programs for faculty and students, collaboration in teaching and research, joint supervision of graduate research, and hosting of academic events, including joint conferences, research seminars, students, competitions, and workshops.
The agreement between the Abu Dhabi Education and Knowledge Authority, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the Indian Ministry of Education to establish the institute's Abu Dhabi campus was witnessed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July 2023.
