Emirates Steel Arkan, the UAE's largest steel and construction materials company, has announced that it has changed its name to EMSTEEL as part of a broader strategy to accelerate its operational transformation and expand its global presence.
According to Amac News: In the announcement of Emirates Steel Arkan, it is stated that the brand identity and new operating model were officially introduced at an event in Abu Dhabi with the presence of high-ranking officials and more than 400 customers, partners and employees.
According to the announcement, the new identity reflects the successful merger of Emirates Steel and Arkan Construction Materials, which was completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The merger has created the UAE's largest steel and construction materials company, valued at AED 13 billion, with a strong strategic foundation and significant growth potential in the UAE and international markets.
Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO of EMSTEEL Group, said the EMSTEEL brand takes us to a future full of opportunities for expansion, business growth and digital transformation.
According to him, this reflects our commitment to create products, services and solutions to build a better world, in addition to leading global sustainability efforts in our sector by promoting low-carbon supply chains in collaboration with their partners.
He added that the company is committed to reducing carbon emissions in line with the UAE's net zero strategic plan until 2050, in which the use of clean energy in our operations is 80%.
EMSTEEL is a global leader in low carbon steel production and the first steelmaker in the world to achieve its CO2 emissions, enabling us to operate with 45% less carbon than our peers.
Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, EMSTEEL builds on a heritage that spans over a quarter of a century. Today, this group has 16 advanced factories with an annual production capacity of 3.5 million tons of steel and 4.6 million tons of cement. The group exports to more than 70 markets worldwide, accounting for 30% of its sales.
The company, branded EMSTEEL, will initially operate through two separate divisions: Emirates Steel and Emirates Cement. Emirates cement portfolio includes Al Ain Cement Factory, Emirates Blocks Factory, ANABEEB and arkan Bag.
These two divisions represent the core of EMSTEEL's operations, each focused on providing high quality products to meet the growing needs of the UAE and global construction industries.
The structure of the EMSTEEL group is designed to allow the seamless addition of new divisions and support growth into new markets and product lines.
