The Emirates Development Bank (EDB) has announced the launch of AGRIX Accelerator, a flagship program aimed at transforming the agricultural sector of the United Arab Emirates.

According to Amac News: In the announcement of the UAE Development Bank, it is stated that through this program, equipped farmers, agricultural businesses and technology providers will get specialized financial solutions and advanced agricultural tools.
According to the announcement, this plan supports the UAE National Food Security Strategy 2051.
Over a 20-week period, the AGRIX accelerator offers participants access to advanced agricultural technologies, strategic business insights and sustainable agricultural practices.
Through a combination of expert-led workshops, hands-on training and personal coaching, participants will develop the essential skills to drive innovation and growth in the sector.
The program also focuses on empowering smallholder farmers to adapt to environmental changes, improve agricultural efficiency, and create a participatory community focused on sustainable agriculture.
EDB also offers convenient financing solutions, such as the UAE's first-of-its-kind Agricultural Loans Program, which offers flexible financing options to local producers, agribusinesses and technology providers.
These solutions underscore EDB's commitment to fostering a resilient and sustainable agricultural ecosystem in the UAE by increasing access to capital and promoting innovation.
This initiative is in line with EDB's broader mission to provide AED 30 billion in financing to priority sectors by 2026, promoting economic diversification and sustainable growth.
Focusing on technology adoption and capacity building, the AGRIX Accelerator will strengthen the UAE's capacity for food self-sufficiency, reduce import dependence and strengthen its position as a global leader in agricultural innovation.
