Mohammed bin Rashid reviewed the cultural zone project in the south of Dubai

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, inspected the cultural zone project located in the Azizi Venice community in the south of Dubai.


According to Amac News: The announcement of the Prime Minister's Office stated that this project was launched by Azizi Developments in order to enrich the cultural and artistic landscape of Dubai and strengthen innovation in the creative sector.
This project demonstrates Dubai's commitment to nurturing creative talent and reinforces its reputation as a leading destination for creatives worldwide.
In line with the objectives of the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy, the Cultural District project in South Dubai supports the leadership's vision to transform Dubai into a global creative economy capital.
The goal of this project is to be a global leader in culture and creativity by creating a supportive environment for creatives, investors and entrepreneurs. Creative business incubators that use advanced technology to empower creatives and increase the sector's global competitiveness are at the heart of this initiative.
The Cultural District in South Dubai has an array of exceptional facilities including an opera house, theatre, exhibition halls and a performing arts academy. Designed to enrich Dubai's vibrant and diverse cultural scene, this project is poised to attract artists and creatives from around the world.
Integrating arts and culture seamlessly, the upcoming district promises to become a vibrant hub, enriching the lives of South Dubai residents through diverse activities and experiences.
Expressing his pride in launching this ambitious project, Mirwais Azizi highlighted its role as a vital platform for the creative industry.
The Cultural District in South Dubai has a stunning array of venues designed to enhance the emirate's artistic landscape. At its heart is a 2,500-seat opera house, featuring an innovative and futuristic design by Zaha Hadid Architects.
This opera house has advanced acoustic and visual technology to ensure a unique artistic experience. A more intimate theater with 400 seats provides a versatile space for plays, comedy, art workshops and smaller performances.
Further enriching the region's offerings are large exhibition halls that can accommodate up to 2,000 people.
