The Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF) 2024 said in a statement that it has examined the challenges and opportunities that countries face in creating advanced technology economies.


According to Amac News: In the announcement, it is stated that in the "Building Smart Economies" panel, high-level Emirati experts from key sectors were present.
Fahim Al Qasimi, head of the Department of Government Relations (DGR) in Sharjah, emphasized that agility is the cornerstone of a smart economy.
He said that the economy of the UAE is included in the global financing and logistics chains, and as long as the UAE continues to invest in these infrastructures, it will be ready for any changes that come along the way.
Referring to how governments can support the development of smart economies, Fahim emphasized the importance of feedback loops between the public and private sectors.
Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO of BEEAH Group, highlighted the role of sustainability in shaping smart economies. He said at BEEAH, they have reduced Sharjah's landfill waste to less than 10% and are monitoring waste habits by investing in technology.
Al Huraimel also pointed out the importance of public-private partnerships, which have been the key to BEEAH's success in expanding its sustainability model to Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
