The Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office published a statement saying that the seventh session of the Sharjah Investment Forum (SIF 2024) was opened by Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

According to Amac News: The announcement states that this two-day forum is organized under the title "Futuristic Vision for Smart Economies".
The forum features more than 100 discussions and workshops led by more than 80 global experts.
Abdullah bin Touq, the Minister of Economy of the UAE emphasized on the national efforts in the field of economic diversification. He said the non-oil sector now accounts for approximately 74% of total GDP, which represents significant progress in the UAE's economic diversification journey.
According to him, Sharjah is still a key force in this field and nearly 96% of its economic activity is in non-oil sectors.
He added that the Sharjah Investment Forum has become increasingly important compared to its previous editions and supports national efforts to attract $150 billion in foreign investment by 2031.
