The Federal Tax Agency (FTA) has postponed the deadline for filing tax returns and settling corporate taxes payable until December 31, 2024, in a statement.

Amac News: The deadline applies to short tax periods ending on or before February 29, 2024, the FTA statement said.
The FTA has issued Decision No. 7 on postponing the deadline for filing tax returns and settling corporate taxes payable for certain tax periods for the purposes of Federal Law No. 47 of 2022 on corporate and job taxes.
FTA General Director Khalid Ali Al Bostani emphasized FTA’s commitment to supporting all taxpayers, saying the decision demonstrates our continued commitment to creating a supportive and fair tax environment.
The FTA decision states that the due date for filing a corporate tax return for taxable persons with a short tax period ending on or before February 29, 2024, has been postponed to February 20.
The decision is aimed at taxable persons registered, established or identified on or after 1 June 2023 and having a financial year ending.
Before the issuance of FTA Decision No. 7 in 2024, it should have filed its tax return and settled the corporation tax payable by 30 September 2024 in accordance with the provisions of the Corporate Tax Act.
