Amac News: In the announcement of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE, it is stated that the World Logistics Forum 2024 was hosted by the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics Services of Saudi Arabia.
This important event, which was held from October 12 to 14 in the financial zone of King Abdullah Financial District, aims to strengthen international cooperation and change the shape of global trade and the supply chain landscape.
In this meeting, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE emphasized that regional and international cooperation is key to improving connectivity, diversifying the logistics supply chain and developing international transportation routes.
The minister noted that the UAE is seeking to tackle energy and climate costs in logistics by adopting alternative energy sources for transport and implementing emission reduction initiatives.
In this regard, the country launched the Global Electric Vehicle Market project, which aims to increase the number of electric and hybrid vehicles in the UAE to 3.6 million by 2050 – 50% of all registered vehicles.
He revealed the general policy for sustainable aviation fuel, which aims to encourage the production and use of sustainable aviation fuel. Its goals include increasing sustainable aviation fuel production capacity to 700 million liters per year by 2030, while increasing production rates to meet the growing demands of the aviation sector.
