Masdar wind turbine installation completed at Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company has announced that the turbine installation in the 476 MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm has been completed.


According to Amac News: In the announcement of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, when Baltic Eagle is fully operational, it will supply about 475,000 households with renewable energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 800,000 tons per year.
The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, President of COP28 and Chairman of Masdar said the installation of the 50th and last turbine of the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm is an exciting milestone.
As the project progresses on schedule, the Baltic Eagle is set to supply 475,000 German households with clean, renewable energy, according to the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.
He added that this cooperation was emphasized based on the 15 billion Euro agreement signed at COP28 in the UAE.
50 installed wind turbines, each with a unit capacity of 9.53 MW, were installed by Vestas Tamim and by Fred Shipping Company.
Masdar and Iberdrola signed a partnership in July 2023 to jointly invest in Baltic Eagle.
At COP28, the two companies announced another €15 billion agreement to explore the joint development of offshore wind and green hydrogen projects in key markets such as Germany, the UK and the US.
