Loans granted by active banks reached 81.2 billion dirhams

The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) said in a statement that loans granted by active banks to small and medium-sized companies in the UAE reached 81.2 billion dirhams by the end of the first half of 2024.

According to Amac News: In the statement of the Central Bank of the UAE, it is stated that loans to SMEs constitute 9.5% of the total balance of financial facilities provided to the commercial and industrial sectors in the UAE, which reached 855.7 billion dirhams at the end of June.
According to the announcement, the SME sector constituted more than 95% of all active companies in the UAE and created jobs for about 86% of the private sector workforce.
