Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, issued the decree to change the name of the Petroleum Council in the Emirate of Sharjah.

According to Amac News: In this order, it is stated that the name of the Oil Council in the Emirate of Sharjah should be replaced by the name "Oil Administration" wherever it appears in the laws and all administrative, financial, legal, etc. transactions.
