UAE Ministry of Energy Eliminates Bureaucracy

The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI) said in a statement that it has eliminated bureaucracy in 21 departments by canceling more than 745,000 government procedures and reducing service delivery times by 75%.


According to Amac News: The Ministry's announcement states that this achievement has helped to save 21 million hours of customers' time, reduce visits to the Ministry by 75%, and increase customer satisfaction with the Ministry's services by 91%.
The UAE Ministry of Energy considers the purpose of this action to be innovation and efficiency in government operations and to encourage employees to adopt methods that help eliminate bureaucracy and simplify services.
Sharif Al Ulama, Deputy Minister of Energy and Petroleum Affairs of the UAE Ministry of Information said that innovation in government processes is a goal to keep pace with global developments and meet customer expectations.
He added that the ministry is eager to support all plans and ideas that can help speed up the change to a more flexible and efficient business model.
