news agency wam , 3 Nov 2024 - 12:49

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in a statement that according to the fund's forecast, Austria's economy will grow by 1.1 percent in 2025.

According to Amac News: According to the announcement of the IMF, based on the latest estimates, this fund expects a 0.6% decrease in Austria's economic production for 2024.
However, the International Monetary Fund is more optimistic about Austria's economic recovery in 2025, forecasting a real GDP growth rate of 1.1 percent.
The IMF's forecasts are said to be in line with those of Austrian economic institutions such as the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (Wifo) and the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) for this year.
This estimate differs only slightly from the forecasts of the main Austrian institutions, which range from 1% by Wifo to 0.8% according to IHS.
Meanwhile, economists at the Bank of Austria also forecast a moderate economic recovery, with growth of 1.5 percent in 2025.
The bank's studies show that the local economy is likely to benefit from improved investment conditions in the country, driven by the projected global economic recovery and the positive impact of growth engines outside Europe.
