Abdullah Bin Touq Al Mari, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, participated in the second edition of the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024 organized by the Bahrain Economic Development Board.

Amac News: In this conference, which was held from November 3 to 4 in Manama, Al-Mari spoke in a round table about the commercial developments of the UAE and investment opportunities in new sectors of the economy, as well as the recent updates of economic laws in this country.
Al-Mari emphasized that the UAE has taken important steps in diversifying its national economy and changing the new economic model based on knowledge and innovation.
He said that currently, non-oil sectors account for 74 percent of the UAE's GDP, encouraging investors and entrepreneurs to expand their activities in these areas.
Al-Mari also added that he is working towards the UAE's goal of becoming a new global economic hub by the next decade.
He stated: The Persian Gulf countries have emerged as great economic powers with a significant impact on the global economic and investment outlook due to their strategic geographical location, outstanding infrastructure and diverse investments in many countries.
He added that this has introduced these countries as international trade and investment centers hosting some of the world's largest companies.
