Extraction of dozens of mines begins in Afghanistan

The Economic Assistant of the Prime Minister's Office of Afghanistan has announced the initiation of exploration and extraction operations for 21 major mines across the country.


According to Amac News: The announcement states that among these mines, eight contain important materials such as iron, gold, coal, lead, zinc, ruby, chrome, cement, and barite.
These mines are located in the provinces of Ghor, Herat, Parwan, Kandahar, Daikundi, Kabul, Baghlan, and Takhar.
Based on the announcement from the Economic Assistant of the Prime Minister's Office of Afghanistan, the mines include the first, second, third, and fourth iron mines in the Goryan district of Herat, as well as the iron mine in the Pashtun Zarghun district of Herat, the mines in the Zinda Jan district of Herat, the barite mine in the Chahar Awlang area of the Robat Sangi district of Herat, coal mines in the Masjid Chobi area of the Karakh district, and the Naik area in the Uba district of Herat. The lead and zinc mines in the first, second, and third blocks of the Tulak district of Ghor province in western Afghanistan are also included.
Additionally, gold mines in the Chah Ab district of Takhar, gold mines in the Qara Zaghan area of the Doshi district of Baghlan, ruby mines in the Jaghdalek area of Kabul, chrome mines in the first, second, and fourth blocks of the Koh Safi district of Parwan, and mines in the Jabal Saraj district of Parwan are part of this project.
