AMAC - The delegation of the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan is visiting Iran

The Afghanistan Ministry of Public Works has announced that Mohammad Ishaq Sahabzada, the Deputy for Railways, has traveled to Iran at the head of a delegation.

According to Amac News: This visit was made at the invitation of the Iranian Railways Organization and aims to enhance railway cooperation. The two sides are expected to discuss increasing transfers through the Khaf-Herat railway and bilateral railway cooperation.
According to the statement, the delegation will meet with the Iranian Railways Organization and other relevant institutions to discuss increasing transfers via the Khaf-Herat railway and expanding bilateral railway cooperation.
This visit comes as the Khaf-Herat railway is nearing completion, connecting Afghanistan to Iran's seaports and, through them, to Turkey and subsequently to Europe.
