The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) launched its first overseas event, known as MIHAS@Dubai, on Monday (November 18) in Dubai.
According to Amac News: MIHAS@Dubai will showcase a diverse range of Malaysian halal products across various sectors, including food and beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as well as halal services such as finance, franchising, and logistics.
This is the first international experience for this event, held in the UAE with the participation of several Malaysian companies led by MATRADE.
The initiative not only capitalizes on the vast potential of the halal market in the Middle East but also strengthens Malaysia's position as a recognized destination for global trade exhibitions.
Experts believe that with the increasing global interest in halal products, which is projected to reach $5 trillion by 2030, Malaysia can leverage this momentum to boost its export sales.
In recent years, Malaysia has seen improvements in its trade performance. From January to September 2024, trade reported a double-digit growth rate of 10.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
With the launch of MIHAS@Dubai, these figures are expected to strengthen further, reinforcing Malaysia’s status as one of the top halal exporters.
