Yang Zhiyong, head of the Chinese Academy of Fiscal Sciences, stated that the monthly fiscal revenue continues its growth trajectory, reflecting a strengthening economic recovery.
However, the report noted that in the first ten months of the year, China's fiscal revenue decreased by 1.3% year-on-year.
During this period, the central government collected about 8.25 trillion yuan (approximately 1.15 trillion U.S. dollars) in fiscal revenue, indicating a 3.9% decline compared to the previous year, while local governments collected around 10.25 trillion yuan, marking a 0.9% increase.
The country's fiscal expenditure also expanded by 2.7% year-on-year during the same timeframe
Specifically, the central government's fiscal expenditure rose by 7.9% year-on-year, while local governments' expenditures increased by 1.8%.
