Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes Affairs and Chairman of the International Philanthropic and Humanitarian Council, met with Bill Gates, Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, on Wednesday.

Amac News: Citing the Emirati media sources, the two sides discussed joint collaborations between the UAE and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in global health and agriculture.
They also explored the potential of artificial intelligence to accelerate advancements in health, education, and food systems. Additionally, they examined ways to enhance efforts to improve lives and livelihoods globally, including combating preventable diseases such as polio and neglected tropical diseases.
Since 2011, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has contributed to global efforts to end polio, including funding an urgent vaccination campaign held in Gaza during September and October.
The meeting also highlighted the progress of collaboration between the UAE and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in agricultural innovation, aimed at accelerating action on climate change and strengthening global food systems.
Bill Gates reflected on the decade-long partnership between his foundation and the UAE, commending the UAE's commitment to improving the lives of the world's most vulnerable populations.
