According to a report by the Korean news agency Yonhap, the Republic of Korea has one of the best fifth-generation (5G) communication network infrastructures among the member states of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

According to Amac News: Citing Yonhap, Korea boasts the highest number of 5G base stations relative to its population, with 593 stations per 100,000 inhabitants. Following Korea in this ranking are Lithuania and Finland, while the OECD average stands at around 100 stations.
In terms of 5G connections per 100 inhabitants, Korea ranks second with 63 connections, trailing behind the United States, which has 68.4 connections. This figure is significantly higher than the OECD average of 38.6 connections.
Seoul also offers the cheapest prices for triple-play communication bundles, which include TV, internet, and phone services, among OECD countries.
The report further states that investments in the communications sector across OECD countries have grown by 39 percent over the past decade, driven by increasing demand for networks amid a rising trend towards a "remote" and "digital" economy.
