The Ministry of Economy of the UAE announced that Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, held a meeting with Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Indonesian Minister of Tourism, to explore ways to enhance tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Amac News: Based on the ministry announcement, the meeting also emphasized joint efforts to increase mutual tourism flows. During the discussion, the Minister of Economy highlighted the historical ties and strategic partnership between the UAE and Indonesia across various fields.
Bin Touq stated that the tourism sector is considered one of the key areas that strengthen economic relations between the two countries. He added that currently, over 174 flights per month connect the two countries, operated by UAE national carriers.
He referred to the UAE's efforts in developing this sector, underscoring the key role of the "UAE Tourism Strategy 2031" in supporting sustainability and competitiveness. The strategy outlines goals such as reinforcing the UAE's position as one of the best global tourism destinations and increasing the sector's contribution to the national GDP to AED 450 billion
Additionally, the Ministry has set a target to attract 40 million guests and aims to secure AED 100 billion in investments within the UAE's tourism sector.
