The Iranian official indicated that Iran has expressed readiness in the joint commission between the two countries. He further stated, “Afghanistan is a wealthy country with abundant resources.”
Discussions were held between the political deputy of the Prime Minister's office of the interim government, the special representative of the President, and the Iranian ambassador to Afghanistan about activating and developing the Chabahar port, providing Afghanistan access to international waters, and completing unfinished projects in Afghanistan.
This comes as a delegation from the Ministry of Public Works of the interim government visited Iran this week to discuss the development of railway projects with Iranian officials.
