Emirati media reported that Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler and Supreme Council Member of Sharjah, has introduced his latest historical work.
According to
Amac News: Citing the UAE's state news agency WAM, the historical work is an encyclopedia titled "The Portuguese in the Gulf of Oman: Events in Annals from 1497 to 1757."
WAM noted that this comprehensive volume is divided into 15 parts and is set to be fully published in the next two months.
Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah and author, stated, “This collection, which I estimate to be around 15 volumes, includes various documents and extensive writings crafted by the Portuguese during that period.”
The Ruler of Sharjah added that reading this work will provide valuable insights into the events and battles that unfolded over the span of 260 years.
Al Qasimi mentioned that he has assessed the various injustices inflicted by the Portuguese upon the people of Oman in his work.
