Italy's inflation rises to 1.4% in November

The Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) announced in a report that annual inflation in the country increased from 0.9 percent to 1.4 percent in November.


According to Amac News: ISTAT, in its preliminary report announced that Italy's annual inflation rate reached 1.4 percent in November, an increase from the 0.9 percent recorded in October.
The agency also noted that Italy's monthly inflation rate remained unchanged.
The increase in inflation in Italy was mainly due to an increase in regulated energy prices, which grew by 7.5 percent annually.
In addition, the increase in inflation also included food costs. The price of processed food increased by 2.4 percent and the price of unprocessed food by 4.1 percent.
Also, core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food, increased to 1.9 percent.
