The signing ceremony of this agreement was held during the Abu Dhabi Financial Week (ADFW). This initiative is part of MasterCard's Digital Country Partnership program, which provides a unique framework for partners to work together to achieve innovation, productivity and critical economic goals.
DCP programs are a targeted and agile way to apply the latest technologies in payments, security and artificial intelligence to solve social and economic challenges facing governments, businesses and citizens.
According to ADIO, the Abu Dhabi Digital Partnership Program is designed to introduce advanced financial technologies to digitize government payment systems, support small and medium-sized businesses and empower fintech companies.
Under the agreement, Mastercard's Advanced AI Center of Excellence will also collaborate with ADIO to develop innovative AI and blockchain products to support the gaming industry and other high-growth sectors in the UAE.
In addition, based on this agreement, these two institutions will cooperate in identifying business opportunities and develop joint financial solutions in this field.
ADIO and Mastercard will also work with key stakeholders in Abu Dhabi to support the digitization of payments to offer tailored financial products and tools. These services will be provided to citizens through initiatives such as providing prepaid cards to individuals to facilitate pension payments.
Prepaid travel cards, tailored to Abu Dhabi's growing population of travelers and expatriates, will also be launched through this partnership. By integrating with MasterCard's priceless.com platform, Abu Dhabi will gain access to dedicated marketing channels, customized landing pages and access to the company's global network, showcasing attractions such as hotels, museums and entertainment events.
