The world football federation, FIFA, announced on Wednesday, December 11, that Saudi Arabia was the winner of the 2034 FIFA World Cup following a vote by the General Assembly.

Amac News: FIFA president Gianni Infantino said that national football federations have voted in favor of Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 World Cup.
He added that the 2034 World Cup will be special as it will also celebrate the centenary of the first FIFA World Cup in 1930.
On December 1, FIFA announced the results of the technical evaluation of Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 World Cup, and the country received the highest score ever with 419.8 out of 500.
The finals of the 2034 World Cup will be held in five Saudi cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Abha and Neom. The matches will be held in 15 stadiums, 10 of which will be newly built in these five cities, and five more stadiums will be developed in Riyadh and Jeddah.
In July 2023, FIFA released details of Saudi Arabia's bid for the biggest 48-team World Cup in history, the first time a single country will host such a major tournament. The official proposal was presented to FIFA in Paris.
On October 9, 2023, the Saudi Football Federation officially submitted the country's bid for the 2034 World Cup to FIFA. Also, on March 1, 2024, the Saudi Football Federation announced the official identity of its proposal.
