According to Amac News: Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Emirates (GCAA), who led the UAE delegation in this event, said that this event is an important opportunity to review the achievements of ICAO in the field of strengthening cooperation between member states to create a safe and stable aviation system.
He emphasized the commitment of the UAE to support all initiatives of the organization to strengthen the capabilities of this sector.
Al Suwaidi noted that through ICAO, the UAE intends to help advance international efforts to address the future challenges of the aviation sector, including reducing carbon emissions, improving operational efficiency and supporting technological innovation.
He also praised the achievements of the UAE in this field of aviation, including the development of airports, improvement of safety and security standards, and promotion of international cooperation.
While appreciating the role of the International Civil Aviation Organization in improving aviation safety and coordination among member countries to achieve progress in this sector, the UAE emphasized the importance of continuing international cooperation to face future challenges.
