The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the launch of “Logisty,” a digital logistics platform developed in collaboration with the private sector and TruKKer, the region's leading digital transport platform.

Amac News: Based on the RTA announcement, the purpose of this platform is to provide commercial transportation services to customers and businesses, manage commercial vehicle fleets, and offer reservation and tracking services on demand.
The Logisty platform redefines freight forwarding in Dubai by connecting customers with commercial freight service providers.
Matar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of RTA, stated that this initiative aims to double the direct contribution of the Dubai transport sector to the emirate's economy, increasing it to 16.8 billion dirhams, while enhancing technology adoption in the sector's infrastructure to 75% and improving operational efficiency by 10%.
Dubai is home to more than 10,000 commercial shipping companies, and the sector has experienced a compound annual growth rate of 34% over the past five years. The number of registered commercial vehicles in the emirate has reached 351,000, contributing to the creation of over 242,000 jobs
In 2023, the transportation and warehousing sector experienced significant growth, adding a value of 31.4 billion dirhams, which accounts for 42.8% of Dubai's GDP. This sector recorded its highest growth rate of 7.8% in the second quarter of the year.
