news agency wam , 16 Dec 2024 - 22:39

Dubai-based Parkin announced that it has signed an agreement to enter the Saudi market and provide paid parking services in the country.

According to Amac News: The Company, which is the largest provider of paid public parking services in Dubai, will collaborate with Batic Investment and Logistics Company, a large Saudi consortium.
The collaboration focuses on implementing advanced digital technologies to optimize traffic flow and improve user experience. According to a statement released by the company, the two companies will explore opportunities to expand paid parking services in the Saudi market and will work with municipalities, property developers, malls, hotels and other venues.
Special attention will be paid to the adoption of advanced digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, real-time data analytics, digital gates, sensors and smart cameras, to simplify the parking process and increase optimal utilization.
The news follows Parkin’s announcement last month that it would implement premium parking charges in Dubai from March 2025. Premium parking will cost Dh6 per hour between 8am and 10am and 4pm and 8pm, while other public parking spaces will cost Dh4 per hour.
Parkin CEO Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali said the agreement is part of the company’s international expansion plan outside Dubai and promoting barrier-free mobility. “By combining our operational excellence, advanced technology and industry knowledge with Batik’s strong presence, this partnership will help deliver innovative and scalable parking solutions that will benefit residents and visitors to the Kingdom,” he added.
“Working with the largest parking operator in the UAE will allow us to optimise our parking services, help reduce congestion and improve customer experience,” said Mohammed Al Zamil, CEO of Batik Group. "With an extensive parking portfolio of 195,000 parking spaces across five cities, we will help achieve better mobility in the Kingdom and align with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030."
