The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced that it has organized an introductory workshop to raise awareness of the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) among private sector businesses, in collaboration with the National Fund for Corporate Social Responsibility.

Amac News: The workshop, titled “Impact Labs,” was held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SCCI) premises, with the aim of promoting and encouraging the active participation of businesses in CSR practices.
During the workshop, a presentation was made on the strategic objectives, programs and major projects of the National Fund for Corporate Social Responsibility. The presentation outlined how the private sector’s efforts can be guided in a direction that is aligned with environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
The workshop also explored solutions that will help strengthen private sector participation in established CSR sustainable programs and projects.
In addition, the workshop assessed the added value that CSR brings to companies, the payment, and the key CSR initiatives they are undertaking.
