Abu Dhabi hosts workshop on sustainable investment in digital transformation

A regional workshop on sustainable investment in digital transformation, organized by the Arab League’s Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, was held in Abu Dhabi.


According to Amac News: Based on Emirates media, the two-day workshop included several important sessions, one of which was dedicated to digital investment in the Arab region.
The session reviewed government digital transformation plans, strategic infrastructure investments, global trends in digital transformation and its role in achieving sustainable development in the region.
Another session discussed and reviewed supporting private investment and foreign partnerships in digital projects.
Representatives attended the workshop from fourteen Arab countries related to sustainable development, as well as Arab specialized organizations and representatives from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, the United Nations Development Programme, UNESCO, the Islamic Development Bank and various civil society organizations.
The committee’s agenda includes 14 key topics that focus on important issues and initiatives such as eliminating hunger in the Arab region, the Arab Digital Platform for Sustainable Development, sustainable financing in the Arab region, and the Arab Vision 2045.
Nada Al-Ajizi, Director of the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation, who opened the workshop, said that digital technology and sustainable investment are essential pillars for achieving inclusive and sustainable development.
