ENOC Group (Emirates Oil and Gas Group) announced that it is collaborating with Drive Terra, a company that is working in the field of advancing electric vehicle technology, to deploy battery swapping stations across the UAE.

Amac News: Based on the ENOC announcement, the initiative will help advance sustainable energy solutions and the commitment of both parties to a green future in the region. The aim of the partnership is to contribute to the UAE’s “Net Zero 2050” strategic plan, which will be achieved by establishing one of the largest battery swapping networks in the region.
The network will help accelerate the adoption of electric bicycles and serve as a new benchmark for sustainable battery swapping infrastructure in the UAE, reinforcing the country’s commitment to a sustainable future.
The CEO of ENOC Group said that the partnership with Drive Terra will help advance smart and sustainable transportation solutions. He said that the deployment of battery swapping stations will help improve delivery as well as contribute to global sustainability efforts.
On the other hand, the founder of TERRA also described the collaboration with ENOC as an exciting step towards transforming the electric vehicle landscape in the MENA region.
The partnership reflects ENOC and Drive Terra’s shared vision for a more sustainable future in the MENA region. The “Battery as a Service” (BaaS) model simplifies the e-bike experience and removes the barriers of high battery costs, long charging times and range limitations.
