UAE media reported that Hamid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of the Emirate of Ajman, inaugurated a mosque named "Aisha" built at his own expense in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
According to Amac News: Based on the media, the mosque, which was built at the expense of Sheikh Hamid, is seen as a contribution to the community and a sign of his commitment to promoting spiritual and human values.
At the inauguration ceremony of the mosque, the Ruler of Ajman said that the project aims to serve the local community and strengthen lasting ties between the people of the Emirates and Morocco.
He also referred to the long-standing friendly and historical relations between the two countries, which were established by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and King Hassan II.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Authority, was present at the ceremony, along with senior officials from both countries and local worshippers.
The mosque, built in the Islamic architectural style, has a total area of 16,000 square meters and a built area of 3,900 square meters.
According to sources, residents of Ain Al-Awda, the city where the mosque was built, expressed gratitude to the UAE and prayed for the country's health and progress.
