According to Allamieh, the move will help improve air quality and environmental sustainability and is in line with the guidelines of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) and efforts to promote clean and sustainable energy.
The agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation to expand the collection network for used cooking oils through the UAE’s retail station network, as well as the production of biodiesel fuel. The two sides will also explore the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and the provision of biodiesel to ships at selected ports.
