Afghanistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to expand trade cooperation and intend to increase trade between the two countries to $3 billion a year, said Nooruddin Azizi, acting minister of industry and commerce of Afghanistan.

Amac News: The agreement was reached during meetings between officials of the two countries, while discussing ways of economic and trade development, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan said.
Azizi added that the cooperation would include imports and exports of agricultural products, minerals, industrial goods and trade services.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan called Kazakhstan one of the most important trade partners of the country and said that the development of these cooperation will provide more opportunities for producers and traders of the two countries.
The ministry added that the agreement could have a significant impact on improving Afghanistan's economic situation, especially as the country seeks to diversify its trading partners and boost its exports.
On the other hand, Kazakhstan, one of the largest producers of cereals and raw materials in the region, sees the Afghan market as an opportunity to expand its exports.
According to Azizi, the agreements include the export of wheat and flour from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan. Kazakhstan is one of the largest suppliers of wheat and flour to Afghanistan, and this cooperation can meet Afghanistan's needs in this regard.
On the other hand, under the agreement, Afghanistan intends to export its agricultural products, such as dried and fresh fruits, to Kazakhstan.
The two countries have also agreed to improve transportation, warehousing and customs facilities, the Afghan Ministry of Industry and Commerce said.
