The Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Afghanistan's acting government in Kandahar province announced that this year, the province exported 9800 tons of dried fruits, especially apricots, to China.

According to Amac News: Kandahar Chamber of Commerce said in a newsletter today (Tuesday, January 14) that the value of this export is estimated to be more than five million US dollars.
Apricots, as one of the main products of this region, are among the most popular export items and are in high demand in the Chinese market. However, the officials of this chamber have warned that the export trend of some products, including rice, has decreased this year.
According to the officials, the main reason for this reduction is the excessive use of the sulfur chemical in the production process, which has had a negative impact on the quality of the products and has reduced the international demand for this product.
The officials of the Kandahar Chamber of Commerce and Investment pointed out that monitoring the quality of products and using standard methods in production and packaging can help increase exports and gain the trust of international markets.
