Experts highlight role of technology in addressing climate change

The World Future Energy Summit 2025, the largest regional event to advance clean and sustainable energy, was officially opened yesterday, Tuesday, January 14, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).


According to Amac News: Based on the UAE media report, various issues were discussed in this three-day event, especially the importance and role of new technologies in dealing with climate change.
Ahmed Al Kaabi, Deputy Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE, in his speech at the water conference of the meeting, emphasized the need for effective management of water, energy and food resources to ensure long-term sustainability and explained how the UAE will meet water challenges now and in the future. It deals with economic and innovative approaches.
He said that the lack of natural water resources and the high demand for water development have made the UAE put water concerns at the top of the national agenda.
He added: "Current policies in the UAE water sector emphasize the development of sustainable water supply sources, which can be achieved through the development of desalination technologies, increasing the use of renewable energy sources in this sector, and investing in technologies that increase efficiency and maximize the use of purified water. make it possible to realize it."
On the other hand, Faisal Sultan, vice president and managing director of Lucid Motors in the Middle East, said that future innovations such as battery technology and autonomous driving are game-changers.
Also, Global CMX, a leading international energy and government relations firm, officially announced its expansion into the UAE during the upcoming Global Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi.
The expansion coincides with the new UAE-Australia Free Trade Agreement, which provides new opportunities for cross-border investments in renewable energy, green fuels and green data technologies.

It should also be remembered that according to the Paris Agreement, the member countries of this agreement must present their climate measures every five years, but so far only four countries (the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Brazil and Botswana) have announced their new measures.
