Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, announced that the country's industrial sector will grow by 5.8% in 2024 compared to last year and achieve a value added of 40.5 trillion yuan.


According to Amac News: Based in the People's Daily of China, it has been 15 consecutive years that China has maintained its position as the world's largest industrial power.
At a news conference held to discuss the "achievements of high-quality economic development," Yunming emphasized that China has installed 4.25 million new 5G base stations by 2024, which has helped digital transformation in industrial and rural areas. .
In the electric vehicle sector, production reached 12.88 million units and sales reached 12.86 million units, which is equivalent to 40.9% of global new car sales.
These achievements are supported by advanced infrastructure, including more than 12.8 million charging stations and 4,443 battery exchange stations.
Key industrial achievements in 2024 included the delivery of 16 C919 large passenger jets, the commissioning of the first 300 MW heavy-duty gas turbine, and the commissioning of the second largest cruise ship built in China.
China's Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology also said that the country will continue its ambitious strategies to stimulate economic growth, support small and medium enterprises, and prioritize sustainability in the direction of comprehensive industrial development.
