Borouge Plc, a leading UAE-based petrochemical company providing innovative polyolefin solutions, announced the signing of new supply and collaboration agreements worth more than $100 million (AED 367 million).

Amac News: The company has signed a total of four agreements to supply advanced polyethylene and polypropylene, including with Bericap for the production of high-performance lids and dispensing systems; Taghleef Industries for durable and flexible packaging films; INDEVCO Group for sustainable packaging solutions; and ALPLA for advanced high-quality and intelligent packaging solutions.
These new partnerships demonstrate Borouge’s focus on creating innovative materials that reduce waste by significantly extending the shelf life of food, while also improving recyclability to reduce environmental impact.
Approximately 80 percent of Borouge’s differentiated polyolefin products are designed for fast-growing sectors such as energy, infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, agriculture and advanced packaging.
Borouge is also advancing a zero-waste strategy by leveraging the synergies of its virgin and recycled polyolefin solutions to promote circularity.
The company has also signed a collaboration agreement with Tahzeem Packaging and Rebound to produce heavy-duty shipping bags that will use 30 percent post-consumer recycled (PCR) polyethylene.
